How to reach the seminar and conference location
By car
- via motorway A 17
If coming from south or west, leave the motorway A 17 (Prague - Dresden) at the exit for "Pirna".
Travel on to the B 172a towards Pirna, then on the S 177 towards Radeberg and then to Dresden-Pillnitz.
It takes about 15 minutes, 12 km from the motorway. - via motorway A 4
If coming from the north (e.g. Berlin) or east (e.g. Görlitz), leave the motorway A 4 (Dresden - Görlitz) at the exit for "Hellerau".
Travel through suburbs of Dresden, Albertstadt and Radeberger Vorstadt, and then along the northern banks of the river Elbe to Dresden-Pillnitz.
It is about 15 km from the motorway.
By train
- Arriving at Dresden Main Station (Hauptbahnhof), take tram No. 10 towards Striesen and alight at bus stop Bergmannsstraße. Change to bus 63 towards Graupa/Bonnewitz and alight at bus stop Pillnitzer Platz.
- If you arrive at Dresden Neustadt Station, take tram No. 6 towards Niedersedlitz and alight at Schillerplatz. Change to bus 63 towards Graupa/Bonnewitz and alight at Pillnitzer Platz.

Seminar participants:
Participants attending the YSM Seminar or both, the YSM Seminar and Conference, can stay at the Park Inn by Radisson Dresden free of charge. A contingent of 14 twinbed rooms has been blocked. Please make your own room reservation after registration on this website by emailing the hotel with the code "YSM2024" until 30 September 2024. After this date, the contingent will no longer be available. You may cancel your room free of charge up to 2 days prior to arrival, after which you will be charged €105.32 per night not cancelled.
If you attend both, the YSM Seminar and Conference, you can stay in the hotel for the entire period.
Important: Due to our limited budget we have to book twinbed rooms with 2 people. When you register you will be given the opportunity to indicate your preferred roommate. If you do not wish to share a room or if the number of available beds is exceeded, please book your own accommodation at your own expense (not with the above mentioned code or in another hotel). Unfortunately, in this case we will not be able to fund this through the GFF.

Conference participants:
Participants attending the YSM conference only, can stay at the Hotel am Blauen Wunder free of charge. A contingent of 20 double rooms has been blocked. Please make your own room reservation after registration on this website by emailing the hotel with the code "Young Scientists Meeting" until 30 September 2024. After this date, the contingent will no longer be available. A room reservation can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. In case of cancellation within the 7 days or no-show, the first night will be charged (83,74 €). The parking fee is EUR 8.00 per night and car.
